BL William is the creator of Murdsearch Mysteries and the designer of all 240 cases across Volumes 1 and 2. With a background in puzzle design and a lifelong obsession with classic whodunits, BL crafts each case to deliver a genuine detective experience — not just a word search.
Every case in Murdsearch Mysteries starts with a story. BL writes the narrative first — the victim, the suspects, the crime scene — and then works backward to build the word grid. The missing word (the murder method) is always the last piece placed.
The goal has always been the same: make the moment you figure out the killer feel earned. Not guessed. Earned.
When not plotting fictional murders, BL is an avid reader of classic detective fiction, a collector of vintage board games, and an enthusiastic (if inconsistent) crossword solver.
